The New York State Council on Children and Families came to Site Hub after a full rebrand with a site that was hard to read and navigate. We rebuilt it end-to-end and supported it for a year with new features and content

Executive summary
Rebuild + year of support
Jan 2025 – Dec 2025
The Council had just rebranded, but the site was old and dense, and the resources families and providers needed were buried in walls of text. The tools existed but people couldn’t find or use them.
A phased WordPress rebuild that carried the new brand across every template, turned key resources into usable flows, met accessibility standards, and trained staff to run it.
Compared to the prior year, downloads rose 137%, engagement time nearly doubled, and organic traffic climbed 47% — even though SEO was never a scoped priority

ABOUT THE CLIENT
The New York State Council on Children and Families connects parents, providers, and practitioners to programs and resources across the state. Its website supports everything from ordering free materials for new parents to hosting toolkits professionals rely on.
After a comprehensive rebrand, the Council needed a site to match. The existing one was dated, text-heavy, and its most useful tools were hard to find — so Site Hub was hired to fully rebuild it and support it for a year with added features and content

THE CHALLENGE
The old site was built around text, not tasks. Interactive tools and downloadable resources were hard to locate, the new brand wasn’t reflected, and the experience didn’t meet the accessibility standard a state site should hold.
A fresh rebrand sat on an old, cluttered site.
Key tools and downloads were lost in text-heavy pages.
Interactive content wasn’t built for easy discovery.
The site didn’t meet the standard it needed to.
Updating content and resources was slow and difficult.
01 / About & challenge — evidence
Prior year, before launch
Audit finding: the tools families and providers needed most were buried in text-heavy pages, so a dated site was holding back a freshly rebranded mission.
02 / Strategy & approach
Translate the new visual system into a full WordPress build with consistent templates, editorial layout, and a clear content hierarchy so program content is easy to scan and find.
Build the Baby Bundle page so parents and providers can order free resources online, with automation that
handles mail-versus-download fulfillment and tracks every request.
Move the Pyramid Model content onto the site with mapping and form-based interactions, so the initiative lives on the same domain and matches the new design.
Hand the site off in working order. Train staff to publish faster, clean metadata and structure for discovery, and run a full year of monitoring and updates
